Combines 52 BIN FlOOR

there is finally a part number for a floor to put in. it is factory installed on the new 65 and 75's but i do not know if they are in the 55's i will try to look it up and get back to you, we just press the new floor down to the old one and use big headed rivets to fasten it down

cannot look up parts for 55's yet but the part number for a 65-75 is 71395979 you could just cut some off of the end to make it work i think it cost about $70. hope this helps

I was looking to do the same thing to R50. I had the parts guys load the new R55 part info. It does not show the liner like the R65-75 has. Basically same picture in parts info but liner is missing. We sold a couple of the 65-75 liners for 62 or 72 but havn't talked to the guy to see how they fit in. Must not use on R55. let me know if you find out different. Thanks

I HAVE A 4X8 SHEET AND WAS GOING TO CUT IT TO FIT MAYBE lEAVE A lITTlE ROOM FOR EXPANISON ON THE SIDES AND FASTEN ON THE BOTTOM JUST OUT SIDE OF THE AUGER AREA AND SOME SORT OF ANGlE AROUND THE SIDES TO KEEP STUFF FROM GETTING UNDER IT. I THINK IT JUST MIGHT BE THE TICKET BUT NOT SURE SEAMS lIKE STUFF WOUlD JUST SCOOT RIGHT OUT MIGHT EVEN UNlOAD A BIT FASTER

i have seen two combines come in on trade that had poly on the bin floor. in both cases it seemed like it did not work very good. both floors had pulled up and got into the auger and wore the auger out while also cutting the poly and making a pocket for grain to rot the original floor out. in both cases i took out the poly and had to cut out part of the original floor and put in what we use for bin-floors which is similar to the new liner i told you about earlier but it comes up about twice as far. hope this helps

Haven't seen poly but have seen various metal floors installed. I wish the 55 had that insert available for it would portect floor and strengthen the whole area. All we have ever did is clean area under floor so we could push it down flush with under support. We then rivet it down every inch or so. If or when it ever gets threw under support we will have to install floor. Whatever you do you need to tuck it down tight to save clearance for auger. Triming auger is an option. If auger has kissed to many trees or trucks you will likely have tighter clearances. Most of the time the acid that sits in wet bin eats threw near the discharge and then tin gets pushed up with direction auger is steering the material. Won't be a problem for a good long time just securing old worn threw floor down. Stainless or poly will also help prevent the problem big time. Good luck

we use a stainless steel feather sheet from 500series header. trimout old bottom with air chisel and pop rivet every 4 inches.we silicone under sheet to prevent water fron getting between original bottom and new sheet.

we have pre made bin floors for l and m combines. they come up about 1 1_2 foot from the bottom of the bin. we have put them in 52 and 62 but they require some cutting out to get away from the fuel tank if anyone is interested e-mail me and i can get back to you. thanks
