We run a 1163 on a 510. It is too heavy and too big. But we go slow and get by.

I ran a 4 row wide corn head on a 550 and based upon that I would think a 6 row would be too much weight and too much grain intake in good corn. I also had a 20 ft platform in wheat and dryland milo. In 5000 lb milo we had to run slow to avoid overloading the machine so I would think 6 rows in 75 bushel corn would overload the capacity of the machine.

if you can't locate one get a 63 six row and take a row off the heavy side I think it's not a big job and you'll have spare parts. If you have and older Massey head drill a pound in grease fitting in the gear box, between the snapping rolls it will save a lot of aggravation all the newer ones have it,like the 1163 etc.

Advantage Farm Equipment in Inwood, Ontario had a 1153 5 row narrow head last fall 519-844-2871. Ask for Don McNally.
