Check and adjust the seperator clutch, engine oil, clean the fuel sediment bowl under the fuel tank, feeder house chain tension, and feederhouse drive chain tension, lube as per the book especially the counter shaft bearinng on the sperator clutch shaft. I had an 82 model that I ran for 16 years. good luck
