Dealer told me to use corn head grease--looks a little thinner than regular grease, but as it warms, it flows easier. used in gearboxes and the chain case on the lower left of the header.

use ONlY Agco EP-O grease unless you are replacing the entire contents. lower the header till the snouts touch the ground, remove upper and lower plugs on each unit. A long extention on a 1_2 inpact makes it a easy task. Grease should be close to the lower plug and about 1-1.5 " below upper plug. Do not over grease, make sure vent plugs are not built up around and held shut. There are a few greases that are not compatable. Agco sells EPO synthetic for disc mowers under 747003 and corn head grease - petroleum EP-0 under 79014932 - they do not mix. The mixing of non compatables can result in separation of solids and a resulting thin liquid which will result in a leakage which can and will eventually plug the fan blades. The end chain drives can use any oil or ep-O with no ill effect. 90wt would be the preferred choice.
