Combines 625 Problems

I work at a JD dealership and we did a conversion of a 9400 combine and 620 Flex head. The conversion consisted of adding the dial-a-matic black box and a curved rod to operate it. It did not work well at all. John Deere really had no solutions so we done away with dial-a-matic box and installed an electronic box that lets you use the new sensor already on your head. The company we got the box from is Headsight. They make header height conversion corn head kits for pre 50 series combines. The head sure worked better after we installed this kit. I don't think Deere did much research on there kit before offering it for conversion for pre 50 series combines. I hope this helps. Mark

Mine has the same crooked rod on it. It seems like the rod and the two ball joints is where the problem is. If the dialamatic box was hooked on the shaft like the 900 heads I think it would work. The rod needs to be straight but it can't be the way its designed. How can I contact this companyIJ Thanks for the help.

The crooked rod seems to be where the problem is. The rod seems to bend after running a little while and it is out of adjustment again. You can contact www.headsight.com . Call them and they will we able to help you with your problem. Mark
