the ONlY way to have these heads fixed is by welding after the entire head has been forge heated. Barnett at Carothersville Mo is one place that does a good job. 573 333-5211 Cummins type sleeves tehn need to be installed and leak a pressure tested.

I went to the machine shop and looked at their process. They drill out the crack and then forge heat before they weld. It still seems questionable to me but I am going to give it a try. Called some people in the parts business today and they seem less negative about it than they did a few years ago. This head did not seem to leak but had evident cracks. Hard to know what to do. What are the major benefits of injector sleeves. I know the down side.
