Check the couplings on the two drives that go to the

Check your hydrostatic filter. Had this happen on a Massey 750 last year, thought it was the hydro pump and drive. Replaced it...same problem. Changed the filter and it went 500 feet and stopped, changed it again and it worked fine. I would give that a try before you tear into anything else. Good luck.

check ur coupling to ur final drives if therse splines a are ok . have a suspicion it is the coupling between the hydro motor and ur gearbox which is another spline one like on ur axle it is not a major job has long has the shaft is not to worn..... these couplings just stop working with out any warning have someone operate the hydro lever while u listen at ground level u may be able to hear it spinning in the splines the shafts will spin if u uncouple the drive coupling has there will be no load goodluck

sounds like the coupler between the hydro motor and the tranny. Hope this helps, have done several with the same prob... I am a tech for JD
