Sounds like the valve under the cab for the reel lift and header lift is faulty, seen it before. If so you can buy a kit to rebuild it from your dealer.

sounds like it could be crap in your relief valve which is located in the control valve under the cab.

We have determined the hydraulic pump is bad, but we can't get it off the shaft. Does anyone have any advice on how to get the main hydraulic pump off.

The pump unscrews from the end of the drive shaft.

Jason: Hold a hammer or something heavy under the hyd. pump drive shaft and hit the top side hard with a hammer. Then put a wrench on the pump shaft (there are flat spots on the shaft) and hit it with a hammer. If you live right it will unscrew. John
