Combines 6620 84 Titan vs TitanII 85

We had both at one time, replaced with a 1996 9600. Anyway, I know which one we had less trouble with, the 1984. Some of the later 1984 20 series had some of the titan II improvements, dual range cylinder, six wing beater, and something with the feeder house I think. Don't stray away from a 1984 just to get a Titan II, unless the II is and 87 or 88. In a given good day, I'd say the II may would have cut maybe 500 bu more beans than the '84. We had fan housing crackage and grain leaks and trouble keeping the top screen together.

84's and TII's are same except for the extra length seives which have the corner holes open and large return elevators for hillside use. Shoe speed was increased to help in real wet corn but dramatically reduces shoe life (actually destroys the shoe). Most guys have put the slower shoe drive gears on theirs. I have an 84, runs ok at 3500 hours. Just a little small compared to just about everything nowadays. They all wear out if you cram a lot of corn through them. GS
