Combines 7010

I heard they are not going to make the 7010 because the 2388 has more capacity with the AFX rotor.Also that the new cabs will be on the 2366 and 2388 in 2005.And that they will use the same frame as the 8010 so I think the the 2366 and 2388 will have allot of the same features as the 8010 in the a couple of years.

Hi just talked to my salesman now he said they are going to make the 7010,they just have to tweek it a little.

The ruling of those who have run the 7010 against the 2388 is that the 2388 is the higher capacity machine, which is quite a problem for the boys at CNH, considering they want you to fork over about $25,000 extra for a 7010. Rumor has it that the 7010 won't be made until_unless they can "fix" it. Guess the 2388 is too good! That should tell them something about the good old Axial Flow relative to this single rotor New Holland abomination.

I haven't seen a 7010 yet, nor would I post someones name on here without having permission first.

I know they Demo,d a 7010 this past week in Southern Indiana and also Southern Illinois. Guy I talked to said it was nice machine but it just was not head and shoulders above a 2388. At least not like a 8010 is. Papaw

I have yet to see a 7010 also. I'm surprised you jumped on MX240 about posting names, cutter. The rep works for a public company and deals with the public. I guess cutter is paranoid about the Nigerians internet scamming the CNH Reps!!! Brian

I was lucky enough to crawl all over one last week. It is basically the same as 8010, but 8 inches narrower in the seives, and down 40 HP but same rotor as 8010, In the same field as 2388 it was 1 mph better with 39 foot head against 36. I really liked it but feeder house is way too long. You can see the sickle but the draper belt is hidden. Don't know why engineers have to stick the header so far out front.Other good points were it is a dream to clean, and concaves are a pleasure to change. All the hydraulics are a bit scary.

Was told today that the demo 7010 was sold. So much for showing others or promoting sales!
