Combines 7010

We just put a 7010 rice machine in the feild 8-14-08 and it seems to be doing great. We are running a 25ft draper head, and cutting green stalked rice with yeilds approx 190-205 bu_ac. at 18.5% moisture. Combine is running about 1-1.5 mph faster than a 2388 in the same feild with minimal grain loss. Time will tell how well it does, but for now it's doing great. Handles down rice very well also.

Where are you locatedIJ We haven't started cutting here yet but its not a week or 2 away. I'm a few miles due west of Memphis. The CIH dealer here has two 7010 rice models but I don't know if either are spoken for yet.

You must be talking about Heartland Equipment, they are a first class operation. The last I was told, (not from anyone with Heartland),that all of their 7010's were sold. I'm located in Stuttgart. A few are starting to cut here, but by the end of next week, many will be cutting. We have some great farmers in our area and the rice crops look very good. Hope the yeilds are as good as they look. Have a safe harvest.

Yep its Heartland. They cut milo with the 7010 yesterday and today I saw it at the backdoor of the shop. Don't think anything was wrong with it though. We haven't started draining our rice yet but will next week. These hot days are drying it up nicely even without draining. Most of the rice looks to be 200+ and I hope I'm right too!

Stuttgart. Have you heard of Harold Cross or Boone BullockIJ We bought combine tracks from them years ago. They were great tour guides.

Actually, I've been told the sieve bushings are much easier to replace than the 14,16,21,23 and 25 series combines. Also, far less problems with sieve, rail and bushing failures.

Actually Tri-County is my main dealer but Willie German had a part that Tri-County didn't.

Yeah I forgot about them. We've never bought anything from them but have looked at equipment before and they have always been a class act to us. German has too for that matter. Can you tell I'm not opposed at driving 100 miles to get a better dealIJIJ Of all the stuff we bought this year the closest was probably 120 miles away. The furthest was NW Ohio.
