EITHER the torque limiter hulled out or the splined clutch hub stripped. look at the pto, does it turn when the clutch is slippingIJ IF so it is a clutch hub by the noise you described, if it will not turn it is the torque limiter, Well on second thought, if you have hydraulics you have no problem with the torque limiter unless you lose the steering when the clutch slips. I take it you have no high or low range and the trans lube light is not on and there is oil in the clutch compartment.

No high or low. light is on. Does the oil come through from stripped hub IJ will check pto when i get a minute as busy sowing. Thanks for insight will post with findings. Engine gone very fumy using 1_2 gallon oil 10 hrs. My first worn turbo motor boy does it pump out some fumes. I guess from the turbo pressure blowing past rings. Oh well high hours . Any tricks to rebuild motor or pretty straight forward. Crack test crank and head IJ Injectors and inj pump spruce up IJ Has roosamaster pump heard expensive to O_haul. Sensitive to dirt etc. Are'nt they all. It just has the one original square glass type. Was thinking about adding another filter and electric pump.Especially if O_hauled. Any thoughts on that. Thanks for info makes fixing a bit of fun ( IJ ). Bye peng.

I do Know about the Rossamaster pump being expensive. had one rebuilt for a 7080. The cost was about $1100. Compared to a pump on my 1586 International it was $385 for the complete rebuild. My problem was water on both. Ruined the crank on my 7080 due to installing incorrect bearing. Just put in another crank and bearing. Now that hurt. I often wonder if anybody made a dual fuel filter assembly that I could put on the 7080. It is the same filter utilized on the 4630 John Deere. The JD has a dual filter assembly. I would go into the JD dealer and ask for a fuel filter for a 4630 and he would always look at me funny when I would answer that I only needed one filter. Do you know of an after market dual assemblyIJ

In response to the dual filter setup for the roosa master pumps. The allis ind. engines used this setup, I have several A-C power units and they use the dual filters. You could look in the old parts books and see if that filter base is still available or buy it from JD. Good luck, Mike
