Sounds like you just lost your torque limiter, Its a dampner between the engine and transmission to absorb shock loads. Sounds like you spun the hub out of the center of it. If this is the case you will have to split the tractor install new damper and you will be good to go again. Not a biggy if this is the case

I not long ago did splines on power director hub. (hulled it out ). No drive through gearbox when that occured so no drive to anything. had to split but was fairly straight forward. Do any orings etc while apart. Only weak link in them and mostly is what happens.

I agree, hulled out torque limiter. Key here is lost all hydraulics. That means the main input shaft is not turning.
