I changed over a 715 with a diesel engine (301) to hyd reel drive and it was quite a job.A person needs to be part monkey to get to the back of the motor to hook up the lines and hoses. We estimated the change over on the combine took about 10 hours of hard work and the suction line was terriable hard to hook up and I used lots of new hyd hose rather than the steel lines and have had no trouble with the change over though. Around here a few guys put hyd motors on headers of both 715's and 403's to pull hesston heads to gather down milo and just hooked in to the present hyd pump line and got by just fine. They were running 6 hesston head hunters and they probably pulled harder than a hyd reel would but the header lifted pretty slow with the head hunters running.
