Don't have the adj. specs. They were tightend down to a specific height. Are the plates glazedIJ This could be part of the problem. Try roughening them up with a wire wheel, or sand paper. HTH Joe

I sanded up the metal surfaces. The discs seemed in good shape, as you can still read the part numbers on their surfaces. They weren't glazed or dirty, and about 1_8" thick. I know some clutches are adjusted snug, then backed off a specific number of turns, while others are tightened as tight as they will go (the end of the thread being the tension limiter),while others are as you mentioned tightened to a specific spring height. I doubt that this would be the case for the header clutch, as the springs aren't visible when installed. I'm hoping that someone has a late model MF750 operator's manual with the feederhouse friction slip clutch adjustment information in it.

I got the answer from Agco through their e-mail contact on their website: "tighten bolts on slip clutch springs until they bottom out then back off 1_2 turn".
