Sounds like your machine may be tired, based on some of the fun you've had recently. Rod bearings are likely getting thin. There are also several o-rings on the oil transfer pipes inside the base which may be leaking (depending on which engine). These orings get hard and brittle - bypass when hot. Hook up an external gauge_hose to verify pressures hot and cold. Maybee you're still in spec.
