The 750 and 760 were the 1st models. The 760 being V8 powered as I remember. The 850 and 860 were an up dated version. The 860 being V8 powered ( 540 cu inch perkins diesel)

I've never heard of a 372 perkins engine, much less one in a 760, although there may be one. We do have a 760 and an 860. both are the 354 perkins. The 860's engine has a bigger turbo and some other improvements. its called a 354.4 i believe. either combine could have the 540 V-8 also. if the combine had the v-8, it had a larger fuel tank also. I know a guy who has a v-8 in a 760. the main difference between the 750_760 and the newer 850_860 is the straw walker length. there were also several improvements in radiator size_location, grain heads, and transmission_hydrostat shift linkage, etc over the years.

also over the years there were improvements in the unloading auger system design and heavier transmissions were available. i think heavier final drives were also available later on. also, there were a few changes on the rotary air intake screen located behind the cab.

I think the 750_760's were manufactured from 1972 or 73 up until about 1979 or 80. 850_860's were from 80_81 up til 87. the 750 and 850 had 50" cylinders and the 760 and 860 had 60" cylinders. when the 760's first came out, there wasnt anything that would cut with them.
