Combines 760 straw problem

I've never combined rice before but had the same problem in cereals.What I found to be the cause is that my steel plate that is running along the back of the concave had some some pieces missing and was allowing the straw to go over top the sieve.Or could it be a over thrashing,breaking up the material to much to allow it to fall through the straw walkersIJ

Rice farmer -- we used to pull the split curtain out of our 760 to harvest canola once it got dry and crackly but found we had to put it back in for cereals or we lost grain out the back - up over the walkers I think which is definitely not a usual problem with these machines. Overthrashing or that steel plate could be your problem. Cheers
