Catfish, I'm guessing you harvesting a crop that has high moisture in the stem, causing the roping to occur. Usually when you get wrapping on the augers, too much is falling through your concave, does it have any wires removedIJ What are you running your concave clearance_cyl. speed atIJ To clean your augers, you have to remove the auger pan - I believe this is accomplished by removing several bolts in the front (below the auger drive gears)- i'm not sure if there are any bolts in the rear, if there aren't you just have to pull the pan forward to set it down and out of the way so you can clean the augers out. 95man

95man I was cutting rice when the problem occured, it was plenty dry but rice straw is tough and it did have a few weeds, but not to bad I have cut in worse conditions. The concave has all the wires and i run it about 4 rounds open any closer and it tries to slug. The cylinder speed may be alittle slow at around 800. I use this machine primarily to cut soybeans and leave it set about 600-650. It is a pain in the but to adjust the cylinder speed, the control chain tries to jump off. Do you know if the throat has to come off to pull the grain pan outIJI have never had it out, looks like it could be a pain. Thanks again, Catfish

Catfish, I believe the feeder house doesn't have to come off, there should just be a couple of bolts holding the pan up in front, this will allow for the front to come down, as far as the rear, either you have to remove some bolts in the rear or just pull it forward so the rear will come down. As for cylinder and concave, may want to up the cyl. speed - where is your adjusting chain jumping off atIJ Is it where the two adjusting chains meet on the same gear. Anyway, by speeding the cyl. up, you should be able to move material thru the concave faster and thresh your rice better. let me know how things are going. 95man

Catfish, Hope you got all the straw cleaned out. I dug my 7700 operators manual out and did some investigation - I have been partially right - you can remove some bolts at the front of the auger pan to drop down the front end of the pans to clean loose grain out before storage - I'm sure you can also drop the back down too - even though the book doesn't mention it, because those pans have to be replaced sometimes due to wear. As for your chain jumping off at the sprocket - mine did the exact same thing - what happens is the sprocket gets loose on the shaft and can tilt side to side under load, allowing the chain to pop off. To fix mine - I took some wire - bailing wire or something that flexes good and wrapped around the shaft in between the sprocket and the retaining bolt and washer which in effect "shimmed" the side play out and now the setup works great - you just have to secure the wire in place for it won't vibrate off. let me know if this helps, 95man
