Combines 7700 starter problems

I just had a similar problem with my 105. I put a new solenoid on it, and nothing happened. I put a new switch in. It just clicked. I should have cleaned the battery cables better. I cleaned the cables. I cleaned the ground on the engine block. Wham! She starts right up every time now.

I feel pretty stupid but live and learn I guess. The whole time the problem was a wire hooked up wrong. But just the same, thanks Matt for your reply. I had checked the connections and cleaned them. In fact I was just short of pulling my hair out and finally had a mech. from the imp. make a service call. He was there about 15 minutes. It is good to have the old gal running again.
