Hello Yes we kinda figured that might be the problem. One other thing we did do awhile back when we replaced the belts was to take the pulleys to a machinist and had him true up the grooves that were were wore in them. I seem to recall that helping quite a bit but of course now the belts are wore again and of course the pulleys are wore again. I don't think that machining the pulleys is the way to go either because it makes the belt ride down in the pulleys so much farther. Don't know what we're going to do for sure, we might just put a new set of belts on it again and call it good. $3200 is alot of money to p;ut in this old beast.
