I ran a 7720 for many years before I upgraded to a 9600 and began to custom harvest. The beater speed will help...you can take the beater slow down kit and just reverse the pulleys. If your machine is equiped with the slow down kit already just change the pulleys. I also put in a airfoil chaffer this seemed to increase harvest speeds as well. A neighbor of mine put a spacer on the back crank of the straw walkers. This addressed the problem of straw walker loss which in my opinion is the bestest holdback on the 7720's. I'm not sure if it's available on a 7720 but a breater grate curtain really helps keep the threshed grain off of the walkers...which increases ground speed again.
