Hi Brad, I looked in my collection of JD Combine literature to help you with your question. It is a 1988 piece,so it covers the last year they built the Titan II's. They just mention in it that they recommend you have planetary final drives on a 7720 T2,but no tire sizes;planetaries were standard on 8820 T2's. From what I can see in the pictures,the tires look to be 18.4 x 38's,as they look similar to the 18.4 x 38's we have on our '92 9600. They say in the literature that the planetaries have the "greater strength" needed for dual wheels.I've heard of the regular bull gear housings breaking on 7720's w_o duals.
