Do you have access to a powerwasherIJ Even if you didn't apply much to any soap just a good solid powerwashing would get the worst of it and keep it cleaner than if the dust got to collecting on it. I'd make sure though I parked the machine so the right side was low and the water drained away that direction. Since I bought a powerwasher last year I have used that machine more times than I can count. It'a cheapy model that doesn't get the soap out to wonderful and it sure doesn't put it out at any pressure but the rinse job alone will peel paint and I've had pretty good success using it on oil spills and residue on just the tractors I've washed off. I have access to a washer..will try that. I was curious if anyone had a magic potion that might work in additon to the wash.

No other quick fixes that I'm aware of rf. I have used the dawn dishsoap for the soap mix in mine but it's such a mickey mouse setup it don't work worth a darn. Can't apply the soap at high pressure....only when you convert the tip to low pressure application. Weird, stupid, and inconvenient all roled into one for me but that's the way that cheap Northern Washer works. Best of luck Deerebines

dish soap is great what i've done in the past is to hook up my power washer to both hot and cold water at the same time then take a container of dish soap and squirt it all over the engine compartment yahoo then powerwash with warm water you will get lots of bubbles and a clean engine i'd be careful hooking up the powerwasher to straight hot water though hot and cold mixed works well for me.... ---mkola in canada.
