did ya try a new cable. how fast does the combine go down the road

Did you check the coupler in between the hydro and the transmitionIJ It could be that the splines are bad on the coupler and then the coupler could be slippling on the shaft. It happened to us a few years back on our 8820. The coupler was striped but the out-put shafts on the hydro and tranny were good.

The cable and linkages work smooth,it goes 17 mph down the road on the level with engine rpm at 2370,the harder the engine works the easier it is to move the control lever but when starting to move from a stop the lever is very hard to move both in forward and reverse and like i said before it has developed this free wheeling thing but only sometimes.
