My hydro works fine till I get half a hopper or more then it acts just like a slipping clutch when I go up a slight hill. If I stop and shift down a gear then I can creep up the incline. Down the road it travels about 13 to 13.5.
i can still carry a full hopper. but goin up big hills is a nother story. it is also like a slipping clutch. it also shimmies when i start out in 4 gear. hard to get it movin. works great until it is warmed up. (the hydro) how much would a used one costIJIJIJIJIJ should i replace it nowIJ or should i wait until it goes and and fix it then. i think i can get at leat one more year out of the old girl.
guys have you checked the directional valves on it we problems like this a few years ago on our 7700 ! it had gotten paint in it and really slowed it down ! hope this is a help ! they aren't that hard too change just a pain to get to on those two models of combines !
Have not checked the $ of used units,seems like they are normally 1_2 of new JD $ and normally don't carry much of a warr. Has anyone else out there checked used $'s.
