Combines 7720 noise

you might have a eng. power shaft bng. out. this bng.is behind the double sheave on the shaft that drives the ground drive belts under the seat.it is supposed to be greased . it is easily forgotton.also where the eng. shaft drives off of ths eng. this coupling could be broken if the bng.is out.i have cut a hole in the housing to change it.the motor has to be removed if you do not cut a hole to change the coupling.

Our old 7720 did the same thing.Our john deere didnt know what it was.

Mine does that too, I used to be able to speed up faster than I wanted to run then pull back slightly on the hydro lever and it would quit whining, after I had the hydro rebuilt last year it whines All the time no matter what.

I think it is the bearings and gears getting a little worn,also could be coming from final drives.If it really bothers you try changing a few bearings.Probably in the final drive ,top bearings as this is a high strain area.Also a couple of high strain bearings in transmission.Most combines get this after years of use,mine does this occasionally and will only get louder as time goes by.Although I don't think it anything real serious.

ITS YOUR CYlINDER ITS SET TO ClOSE TO lEFT SIDE SEEN THIS IN AlOT OF COMBINES JUST lOSSEN BOlTS ON SHAfT AND PRY IT OVER UNTIl ITS EVEN.
