The fork adjustment on the feederhouse reverser may be incorrect or the engagement teeth inside the gearcase may be worn causing "pop out". Raise feederhouse up-install cylinder lock- and disconnect chain link on linkage that moves rod in gearcase, there are two nuts on the rod as well as a washer and a spacer.loosen the nuts to allow the rod to move into the gear case as far as it will go-this is reverse- now tighten up the nut closest to the gear case to take up any slack then turn nut an additional turn. This will put shift fork in the proper operating position. Reconnect linkage and test out- if it still pops out then you probably need inside gearcase repair preformed hope this helps
