I had that happen to one of my 7720 II's one time. Welded it up and had worked great. I was told that running slugs of canola swaths was hard on the combines.
Our neighbor had this same thing happen to a 7700 and 7720T2. He grows a lot of wheat and corn and would never remove filler plates for wheat harvest. Not removing the filler plated in wheat harvest will cause major problems in this series as the machine ages and metal fatigues.
