Combines 7720

Why do think a 7720 is much better than the 90 seriesIJ We run hillside machines here in eastern washington and we lOVE our 9600. This is our 5th year on our 9600, and before that we ran a 6622 with a 22ft header and a 7722 with a 24ft header. Our "9632" has a 30ft header which I never thought would work in our hills. We just run a few hours longer in a day with one less combine driver and we use less fuel and we get our harvest done in the same number of days as we did with two machines.I also like the 9600 for ease of operation and service. It has a nice cab and is quiet. I guess im just getting tired of all the negitive comments when I remember what it was like working under the seat on the 6602's, 6622's and 7722's and other places it was hard to work on

OEM should give weight specs. if not go to your local dealer and they should be able to help you.

Your 7720 will be too wide. But that machine is capable of carrying a 8-30 head isnt itIJ

I run a 6620 with 30.5x32 tires and a 444 4 row wide head with no width problems. My neighbor used to run a 7720 with 30.5x32 tires and a 444 4 row wide head he said it was tight in places but it works. I'm not sure if the 7720 is wider or there are wheel_axle spacers or if my neighbor doesn't plant straight rows.

We use a 443 - 4 row 30" corn head on a 79 7720. It just fits down the rows. The combine has the shorter wide tires from the factory, I cannot remember what size. in 150 bu dry corn we could make a whole round and have a full hopper to dump in the truck at the end of the field. a bigger header would be nice, but for the price of a 4-row it was the best idea for 160 acres of corn.

We run an 8 row on our 7700, so as 99-9410 said, the 7720 should handle an 8 row fine if you wanted to go that route.
