Combines 80 88 Sieve failures

21 and 2300 series up to 03 2300 have there sieves sped up. there is a kit available to slow the sieves back down to 1600 series speed. price is about 275. for two belts,two chains,two pulleys,two sprockets. then it will be the same as 03 2300 series. some put the support yokes on the center pivot. usually change yhe 5 bearings on the auger drive shaft,which is the crank bearings. check bearings and pin in pivot, tighten bushings up in the middle position of throw. should last quite a while then. and check to see if sieves or holders are cracked. slow down kits are hard to come by now.

correction on the years of 2300 series. just the first half of 98 year production was hi speed sieves. sn ofchange on2366 is 184544. and sn of 2388 was 198068.

We have a neighbor that has had this same promblem in a 1688. The sieve actually hits the bolts on the carrier on the bottom. The tops of the carriage bolts are worn smooth! I haven't looked at their machine, but they have a fella that seems to know what is wrong and he offers a kit to fix the problem. I will get an address and post later.
