We have run an 800 flex head for 2 years. 2years of wheat and 1 of soybeans. We haven't experienced any of the problems you described. Only when the wheat would get tough in the evenings we would get a little wrapping around the back of the auger. Have had it in some weeds with no trouble, even cut 50 acres of short corn and worked fine. Our beans last year were about chest high with green stems, did have alot of feeder house plugging that could of been caused by the head bunching the crop not real sure. I didn't like the fact that I had to run the fingers all the way down and as close to the sickle and auger as possible to push the beans under the auger, maybe someone with more experince could comment if this is normal.
