Combines 8000 series pushing dirt

I think I would start fresh and clean off top of skid plates. Do not back up with header down. Give it a try and if it starts pushing right away then take more weight off with spring adjustment. If it bothers after some use then adjust more to take more weight off ground. Be sure that raised feather sheets or hose mod is not preventing flexing in main problem area. Good time to check that is when everything is cleaned off and lift by hand to get a feel for it. Check for stuck or broke ball pivots at front of linkage for this can easily happen if head has been stored out in the weather full of dirt. Good luck

I think we have the problem fixed. We added a air reel to the head. We now took the counter weights off of the right hand side. (air reel gear box maybe offsets the counter weightsIJ) This seems to have taken care of the problem.
