Combines 8000 vs 8200 flex heads or maybe a draper

Is your 8000 head wore outIJ If it isnt,I would think with a few mods and the single point hookup it would fit your combine. But I may be wrong about that. If I could find a 8000 new that would fit,put the pro drive on it,and you have a 8200 less the full finger auger.Which caused alot of problems this year. The 30ft is not enough head for that 9895. I ran one this fall in green stem beans and was running 7.3 mph.I would go with a 36 ft draper if I were you and the cash is there. I talked to a guy in Princeton Ind. He said the new Macdon FD70 were made so that you only change the back plate to fit another brand combine, instead of the whole 12000 dollar piece that you had to change on the older macdons. So the resale should be better now on the drapers. I priced a 40 draper,60,000. Have you ran a 9895IJ They are a beast IG

No I haven't ran one yet and don't really need to. I know what it'll do against a 9790 and thats all the proof I need to upgrade. My dealer farms too and from what they have said its a monster. My 8000 is in great shape really. I just put new sections and gaurds on it for the last 400 acres this fall. We've had a few problems with it in the past but nothing that I'd be scared of in the future. I looked at a new 35 foot 8200 at the dealer and liked what I saw but I'm sorta scared of a flex that big. Anything over 30 and I'd go with a draper. If everything goes right I'll be getting a 9895 and I'm just trying to get the best all around header for it. We are planning on keeping the 8780 for now and I'd really like to keep the 30 foot 8000 for it and trade in the 25 foot 800. Its about junk.
