I was there at HHD on tuesday, and case ran an 8010 with a 12 row, and no 2388. The lexion was the only one with the 16 row head, and deere did really wimp out only showing a V in the demo and didnt have the 9860 on display at all.

I think you saw the 2388 owned by the farm manager of the Husker Harvest Show grounds. Case IH ran the 8010 w_2412 corn head. Corn was not pushing the 40% moisture mark out here so all the machines performed well. Not sure why Deere only ran the Class V machineIJ Its also kinda odd that Deere didn't come and show off any tillage or hay equipment in the field. I thought the entire idea of having the farm shows was to show off machines to customers.

I think the reason John Deere is shying away from "showing off" at the farm shows is that they are focusing more on dealer demos. At least that is what I was told. Found it pretty lame myself. Forever-Red: had a good talk with you at the FPS.
