crary has a lot to learn. I think they are sending the 8010's to several places. mine goes the first part of june. they are over hauling the control pressure system something with the cleaning system little things on the front of the rotor feeder slip clutch and chain. and software I heard all the 03's and 04's are going in. I think a 03 8010 would be a bargin for a new combine right now. their was $21000 in warranty on mine last fall. I suppose they want to get the updates done as fast as they can. and it would take the dealers time to do them.

I would have to think a recall and program such as this if they are pulling all the 8010's back to the factory for retrofits has to be unheard of in the industryIJ I would think they must understand they have good major PR problems and are desperate to do what they can to save this program. They (CIH)must have smelled one heck of a class action in the wind or some such, interesting at least.

anyone remember the 560 IJ seems IH worked them all over either took them back or at dealerships and taged teh serial number that it had been changed the first 900 corn headsIJ sent all teh gear boxes back to to the company. I have to think CIH thjnks they can do it better with trained people and the proper equipment. I wished they hauled my 2+2 back to farmall and worked it over!!

I looked at a list of updates today and there isn't anything that a good service tech can't get done. And some of the updates are only for rice combine.

Our wet corn would not feed in to the feederhouse. We had more ears flying out of the feederhouse than in at times. We would adjust the rpm's on that feederhouse 100 times a day trying to get it set so it would somewhat feed wet corn in, but it never would. Too big of gap between feeder house chain and the rotor. I have pictures if anyone would like to see the space I am talking about. email tngpork@yahoo.com That space is causing lots of problems in wet crops. If they can't get the two seperate feeder chains from jumping the sprockets, they'll have to go back to one feeder chain. They can have the combine back with a payment made to us for R and D if it isn't fixed when it comes back. We don't have time to be Case R and D.

IH had planned to recall all of the 3x88 series 2+2s to give them all the updates the 6x88 series had but they never went through with it.
