Hey Farmer Tony, Are you ready for the floodIJ Our 2020 has an update for it and I heard the 8010 is going back for updates. I'm like you, they haven't given us the details. I'm under the impression that this work will be done at the dealer.

I have not heard of any updates yet but I will be asking now. Just got the o6 8010 and draper last week still have the 04 machine. How wet are you Tony we actually just got our first decent rain on Friday and still raining about 2.5 here in centrol Mn. I think most all the corn is in around here beans were just starting to go in on Thursday.

I don't think there is anyone left who knows that much about 8010's. From what i've heard most have taken early retirement and New Holland guys have taken over. leaving the possibility for "mentoring" (experience) new engineers very slim, which is extremely important when trying to understand what works and what doesn't or what has or has not been tried and_or failed. Without knowing that there are true seasoned axial flow veterans left to counsel new engineers, I don't think that I can be as comfortable owning a Case combine like I have been in the past.

corns in just starting beans is your 06 different than the 04 IJ suppose to be changes in rotor cage and cone back to like a 2388 we've had good rains! we where awfully dry made for great planting

We have not had time to look in side of it yet. It was dry here to so we planted everyday. When we get some time we will pull the concaves out and install wheat mods and compare the insides. And for the person that said all the case guys retired that maybe but I know they have a bunch of engineers left in Quad City they are busy on the new 23s I mean 5010s and 6010s or what ever n they call them. For how long they keep that research center open is any bodys guess.

What i'm hearing is that most of the guys in the Quad cities are engineers for the cotton pickers manufactured somewhere up in Minnesota and that most of the combine work as gone by the way side. Don't be surprised if you see a red twin rotor. If CaseIh makes it that long.

I dont know where your getting your information about the combine guys up here at Benson Mn. I live about 30 minutes from there and no combine engineers here.Just sprayer and floater engineers here. Most of there engineers for the cotton pickers were with cotton pickers before. Plus they hired a lot of local people to actually do the manufactureing. The engineering is not done here it is done in the cotton states. Blueprints are drawin up and they are made to specks from that.Have some good freinds that make all the hoses for the equipment out of Benson.Also have good freind, which is my next door neighbors son that works down in Quad Citey on combines been there for 30 years last he told me was there was like 25 to 30 engineers left there he did say they lost some good men to J.D. If you didnt know we dont grow cotton here. And I dought we will see Case twin rotors I do beleive C.N.H. is smarter than that. I beleive it is like 3 to 4 red for every yellow that includes the 23s which is actually what keeps the combine plant busy.

You won't see a yellow single rotor. As far a CVT drives we'll all just have to sit back and see. I don't see the yellow side putting them in untill the red side has worked out all of the problems with the control systems and the control pressure issue. Just don't have control pressure problems on the CR. According to some truck drivers about half of the CR's are shipped to the port to go overseas while almost all of the red machines stay here.
