Had a similar problem with my 7020 several years ago. It turned out to be the steering sector(base of steering wheel). The valves in it were going bad and it would either not steer properly or liked to keep me turning the wheel to the left very slowly. Ask your dealer if he has ever had a sector go bad and what it did. The sector is part of putting pressure to the ram, how much and when!

Check the filter. Have you just changed itIJ Did you replace the cap form the old filter to the new oneIJ Filter may have collasped thus closing trap door and supply to pump. This has been cause of most erratic steering problms if it is not the flow divider. Shiming the flow divider won't help. Been there.

I bought this tractor with the steering problem. I have changed the filter twice since and believe that the cap_check valve is in proper condition. There is no sound of cavitation in the system when it is malfunctioning. Has anyone worked on relief valve on these systemsIJ Even when working the pressure is a little low so I should look at it anyway. It is somewhere on the steering motor.
