Thanks, Found the info, but wonder if it wouldn't be wiser and simpler to recomend to the neighbor that he go with a pto pump, rather than the hydraulic unitIJIJIJ We don't run these "pumpkins" ourselves, but do run a hydraulic unit on our Ford.
not really, MOST units ran fine without any change but they were borderline with high flow markers and planter cyls that would cause the hyd motor to slow or stall. I would try without anything done except plug in and run. Remember this unit has the same pump that some tractors run today. IT has lots of flow, you just need to control it. As I said some units had need of this drilling, others did not. It was a close tolerance thing.
