push wooden dowel rods into the lifters, and secure each pair together with rubber bands. when you're done, just pull the dowels out. To get the pan off, you will have to pull the front ax and ax support where it bolts to the frame.Just remove the drive shaft, and unbolt the axle support to frame bolts, jack the engine up, and roll the front end ahead.Sounds worse than it is.

If that dosn't work, you can get some magnets at radio schack that are same size aqs dowl and glue them on the stick or if you find magnets with small hole in center you can srew them into the end of dowl.. then use heavy rubber band to hold the up and described befor.

Had a 7020 do the same thing.Was short on time,being our loader tractor,so I patched it up by cleaning the block and plate with carb or brake cleaner real good.Then slightly loosen the plate bolts and put a heavy bead of good silocone all the away around.let cure some then tighten bolts.Plan on doing it right later when I have more time.It's been 4 years and still no leak.Probably patch it again with those results.Almost forgot take one bolt out at a time,clean good and loctite back in no matter how you fix it.Good luck.

Thanks for your suggestion I used 7_16 dowel rods and o-rings for rubber bands. Worked fine except when I started to remove the plate after cam was out, I noticed that I had another problem with the oil pump drive gear on the wrong side of plate. Needless to say my tractor is now without pan or attached FWD. After taking on the huge bolts on FWD axle and loader brackets I probably don't have to go to weight room tonight. One front plate dowel pin is slightly loose in block and considering replacing it and plate. I could also do an underhaul. What do you thinkIJ Motor has 5500 hours and was told that it was overhauled at 3000 hours. Used mostly for chore work.

I ended up going all the way but wish I would have tried it your way. It was way more than I wanted to do. Did you tighten the bolts under the front coverIJ All 6 of mine were like 2 turns loose. Getting the front cover off was easy compared to the rest of it. Could have pryed away plate from motor and injected silicone and tightned up bolts. Don't know about the two under the cam gear though. Dealer says loader stress flexes side rails which stresses this front plate and bolts. Mine was to the point of leaking gallons_hr though.

Yes I tightened the bolts under the cover.Those are the ones that needs to be loctited.They can back out enough to get into the gears or fall out into the gears.Mine was leaking solid stream also.Wish the engine mounts were bolted to the side of the block.Would have solved alot of problems with leaks.
