Combines 8070 grain cart IJ

I am in S. Il and have a 1985 FWA 8070 with 3600 hours. It's about as clean a 8070 as you'll find. It is PD, with hub duals, 18.4x28 up front and 20.8x38 in the back, all radial tires. The fronts are 25% while the rears are 70% Firestone 23 radials. We run oil analysis every oil change. It is converted to 134A. We pulled 700 bushel cart and 12_23 Kinze with no problems. We are going to a 16_32 and need a bit more hp. $22,000 OBO. mjkrichter@charter.net

To answer the toungue weight question it probably depends a bit on the cart. We bought the AGCO hammerstrap or clevis style hitch and shortened the drawbar and have zero problems. Actually our planter has more toungue weight than the loaded cart. email if interested. We can arrange transportation.

The powershift tranny is a sound, good unit. I have had a 7060 and currently have an 8050. Both over 7500 hours with no problem to tranny. The front wheel assist is better in soft ground. The front pull will get you through and it is a better axle if you put a front end loader on it. I lost a couple spindles to overloading my bucket with wet filler on the 7060 which was not a front wheel assist. The powershift is great when unloading on the go. My cart is worth the effort at harvest it is equal to half again a combine. I run the R62. The 85 unit will have a better location for throttle than the 83 unit as Allis moved the throttle to the console and off the dash behind the steering wheel. Have fun.
