Combines 8070 with Cummins

Find out if that is engine or pto.If that is pto I would be concerned about keeping cool in hot weather when worked hard.The engine should have a tag that tells the hp on the left front on top the timing gear housing assuming nobody has turned it up.With the FWA engaged when in a hard pull there probably isn't any more strain on the rear and final drives than a 2 wheel drive.The power shift is probably the weakest link, at least Allis didn't think they were strong enough for the 7080 or any of the 4 wheel drives but they had to be prepared for the worst drivers.If you don't use the full power it wont feel the strain.

We have had our 8070 with a Hundley Cummins for three years with no problems. Ours has been dynoed at 204 hp. I know dynos are so-so, but we have no problem with a 6 shank in-line ripper. You will like the tractor, totally different from 426. just my 2 cents Bryan
