I think what is actually happening is when the seperator is shut off, dust settles onto the backsides of the lower bars. When you start the seperator back up, then it is out of balance. It helps to let the seperator run until it is completely cleaned out. Maybe 15 to 30 seconds after threshing. Sometimes it will help to engage the seperator then shut it off and let it stop then re-engage. Seems to knock off some of the dirt. THE sure-fire way to eliminate the problem is to install a solid Sunnybrook rotor. They will not only eliminate dirt problems but will provide extra inertia in tough conditions.
