We took that bearing out on an 860 twice. It turns out that the housing that it runs in was wore slightly, allowing the vibration talked about earlier. It also took the bearing out. Once we took care of that, we eliminated our bearing problems.
Had that bearing go on our 860 std. I think what happened is the nuts on the outer end of the shaft worked loose. We changed bearings @ used that sleeve lock stuff from locktite. However make VERY sure you get them TIGHT when you put them on. We weren't careful enough and I have had to retighten them twice since then. The last time I used sleeve lock and a 350 ft lb impact wrench Ihope that fixed it. good luck, RON
Check for crack on tubular hoseing between bearing and engine. This will misalign bearing and cause failure.Saw this once on a760.New bearing would last less than a few hours.Hope this helps, good luck!
