The CIH feederhouse is much narrower than the Deere so the drive shafts need to be longer. If you were willing to modify the drive on the header, your 1020 drive shafts might workIJ I'm not sure. The Deere shaft also is forward of the CIH, so usually the 853A shaft is moved rearwards a bit and a longer chain is used at the end of the header. If your 1020 shaft has 2 u-joints, alignment wouldn't be required. I can take pictures of an 853A on a 1680 and email them to you if you like.
