We had a similar problem with heavy barley straw. You can try to adjust the deflector located on the left side of the combine in the back by the chopper. You may have to play around with it and drill some new holes to get it perfect. Second option is to install the fine-cut knife. You can also make your own and use knife sections if it cheaper. Just set the knife set in one or two notches because it may plug the chopper otherwise. Sharp chopper knives may also help.

IF YOU TAKE TWO OF THE MEDIUM lENGTH VANES USED IN THE TOP OF THE ROTOR HOUSING AND BOlT THOSE IN THE BOTTOM AT THE REAR ON THE PERFORATED SECTION BEHIND THE SEPERATOR GRATES IT WIll FEED PART OF THE STRAW OUT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CHOPPER. SPACE THEM ABOUT THE SAME AS THEY ARE ON THE TOP OF THE HOUSING.
