Just bought a 8570. Most people seem to like the 8560_8570 , look inside for any damage.

I had a 750 for years and after it finally died, I got an 8560. I really like it except for : 1: The stone trap isn't really easy to dump and it can leak grain. My machine had a centre support pu on by the previous owner and it seems to correct the leakage. 2: I can't seem to figure out why the rotory screen for the rad plugs up under certain conditions. I plan to mount a brush on it to keep it cleaner. 3: I only have the corn_soy concave. The filler plates for small grains don't seem to help much and I get quite a few unthreshed heads of wheat in the bin. I have tried all sorts of rotor speeds and clearances but to no avail. I am resigned to the fact that I need the other concave. My machine arrived without the "extensions" (1_4"x1") on the front beater or the felt washers at each end of the beater. The machine would plug very very easily until I put those ext. on and I went through several beater bearings until I put the felt washers in. This obviously was not the machine's falut but the previous mechanic screwed up( or was too cheap to do the fix right). All in all I thing it is a great machine for the price.

Had a 1987 8560, we put 3200 hrs on it with very few problems. They are under powered, we got the governor adjusted so it would kick in earlier. Moved up to a 1994 8570. Simplest combines on the market.
