You can add the constant rotor speed option to the older machine with some modifications. Massey uses a fixed displacment motor with a hall effect shaft speed sensor to monitor the rotor rpm, and the sensor sends a signal through a PIP controller to tell the pump to send more or less oil to the motor to maintain RPM. You will have to switch to a fixed displacment motor with the hall effect sensor, add the PIP controller, and wire it up. Also you might want to add some better hydraulic filtration to the unit because the factory Massey filtration could be improved with a minimal investment.
