Combines 8570 problem

It appears in the 8570 wireing diagram that I have, that there is a diode that has common connections between the unloading auger swing switch and the reel raise_lower switch. You may have some abrasion on the wireing harness that feeds the hydrostat control handle. Depending on the position (stroke) of the handle this may be why your problem appears sporadically. If the diode has failed, it could feed other circuits. There are common connections on the ground side back to the circuit breakers and the fuel shut-off solenoid. There could be crossover continuty in your system causing the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at the same diagram and had come to a similar conclusion. I have been working with a mechanic where I bought the combine and hope to find a solution this winter.
