Iwould not get an 860 without the big engine V-8 which comes on the hydro machines. The belt drive machines have the 354 perkins turboed which is the same engine that is in the 550 _510 and that is not enough engine. I just traded a 550 for a 7720 and had to really work to find a dealer that would give me anthing for my 550. I live in TX and traded in Kentucky. I would strongly consider what the mcahine you are trading for will be worth in 5 years the MF combine will be worth allot less than the JD machine will be worth. Set the personal things aside the deere machine will hold its value allot longer.

THE 860 HAS MORE CAPACITY THAN THE 7720 AND THE 860 WIll GENERAllY HAVE A lOWER PRICE TAG THAN THE 7720. HOWEVER, THE 7720 WIll HOlD ITS VAlUE BETTER.
